GOD'S SIMPLE PLAN

Chris Rehor

On June 27th, 2006 I lost my best friend to cancer. Chris and I met as freshman in high school, went to college together and got jobs
at the same company. He was best man in my wedding and my son's Godfather.
We worked together for nineteen years. His office was next to mine and we were together every working day.
We played in bands together over the years. He was always the greatest drummer I had ever worked with. He could read my mind during
performances and knew exactly what to do and when to do it. He met his illness with stoic resolve. He never once fell into self-pity. On the contrary
he was always hopeful that somehow he would beat it and survive. He once told me, "For whatever reason, I've been given this to deal with".
And he dealt with it magnificently - with faith and with hope.
There will never be another one like him and I will miss him for the rest of my life.

These are pictures of my dear friend, Chris Rehor, from long ago and far away.

Requiescat in pace, my brother. Pray for us who are still banished from paradise!
Until we meet again to drink the wine of salvation in our Father's house

Chris and me at Tedfest, 2005

Chris in high school playing at a dance at St. Joan of Arc grade school

Judging by the look on his face, this was some boring slow song
like "All Out Of Love" by "Air Supply" ...

I can hear him making obnoxious noises even now...

The Kid is hot tonight

Whoah - so hot tonight!

And he sang too!

Oh my gosh! These guys are SO COOL!

The "official" band picture...they're just so cool I can't stand it!

The Band! Elwood! The BAND!

We played "Animal House" one time...it was Ok....

I think the guy in front thinks he's Alex Lifeson!

I think this was my bachelor party...Chris was my best man.

New Years eve at some cheesy hotel party.
We are not AT ALL happy about the tiara!
